Guy Roberson, 60, of Lubbock, died Thursday at Vista Care Hospice.

Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Resthaven Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2007, at Resthaven Memorial Park

and the Celebration of Life services will be 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Lubbock.

Guy Linwood Roberson was born April 26, 1947, in Electra, to the late O. A. and Frances (Corder) Roberson, Jr. He lived in Oklahoma City and Electra before moving to Lockney at the age of 15. Guy married his high school sweetheart, Donna Record, on Jan. 18, 1964. They graduated from Lockney High School in 1965 and from Texas Tech University in 1971.

After graduation, Guy worked in sales and management for American Equipment and Trailer Co. In 1977, he began a career in the sale of heavy construction equipment. He founded Ranger Equipment in 1990.

Guy enjoyed fishing, reading, traveling, music, dancing and spending time with his family and his many friends. He was an avid supporter of Texas Tech. Guy was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Guy was also preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Sam Roberson.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Roberson of Lubbock; children, Crystel Conley and husband Tom of Port Neches, Julie Smith and husband Tommy of Dallas, Amy O'Neill and husband Jon of Gilbert, Ariz., and Charles Roberson and wife Stacy of The Woodlands; grandchildren, Charlie and Melissa Conley, Alex Smith, Ellie and Nicholas O'Neill, and Jackson and Sutton Roberson; sister, Joyce Gist and husband Joel of Tulsa, Okla.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
